Aussie22 on TikTokPuget Sound Energy installed a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) 20 feet from my property line. They did not talk to us about it or complete a sound study before installation. It took 8 months for them to complete two “upgrades” to the fan that basically did nothing. a sound study was eventually done and the engineer recommended a wall but PSE won’t do. After almost a year of fighting with them, they installed this temporary barrier until they can replace the HVAC fan in 14-19 weeks (which still might now solve the problem). Absolutely ridiculous. Aussie22 on TikTokThis is a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) that was installed 20 ft from our property line by Puget Sound Energy. No sound study was completed before installation nor did PSE communicate with us once before, during or after installation. The sound can be heard hundreds of feet into the property. After a sound study was finally done, it was determined the unit is in violation of local and state noise ordinances and PSE will NOT construct a sound proof barrier. Also, these things can catch on fire. #SayNoToBess #PugetSoundEnergy #PSE #lithiumbattery
